Education is an important aspect for every Gamma Phi Beta. Our sorority continues to maintain an excellent grade point average that is consistently above the all sorority average and the overall University of Georgia student average. Many of our members are involved in the UGA Honors Program, Order of Omega and several other academic honor societies including Alpha Epsilon Delta (pre-medical honor society). Several of our members have been selected as Foundation Fellows, Ramsey Scholars, and Leonard Leadership Scholars.
In order to ensure everyone reaches her academic potential, our chapter has several programs to encourage scholastic achievement. Each year our sorority comprises a list of tutors of members who are excelling in their area of study to assist any struggling members. Further, our sorority has study hours and recognizes girls who achieved a 4.0 for the previous semester and encourage others to do the same.
In 2014, Gamma Phi had the 4th highest GPA amongst all UGA sororities with a 3.52 GPA overall for the chapter!
